Cats go wild at the shelter! When I was a volunteer at the Hawaiian Humane Society in Honolulu, we’d let a bunch of cats out of their cages for some playtime. The fearless young grey tabby is my favorite. Music by Fletcher Henderson.

Cats! A visit with my feline friends at the Animal Care Foundation in Honolulu. They’re always very happy to see me, especially when I bring them yummy treats. The very last kitty on this clip is Caramel, a very sweet orange tabby who lost the use of his hind legs when he was attacked by a dog.

Harley, our orange tabby, is hilarious. He’s nearly 4 years old now but still behaves like a kitten, whether wrestling with Max or playing with a toy bird or mouse (notice he pulls the tail off the mouse!)

These are the very first cats I ever knew. Pompom was a Maine Coon Cat, and Bambi was a calico. I was 6 years old when this photo was taken. That was nearly 50 years ago, but I still think about them.
Cats never let you forget them.
